The Rackham Graduate School is the central administrative unit for most graduate programs at the University of Michigan. The School of Dentistry partners with Rackham for our master’s degree programs.

The School of Dentistry graduate programs that require the Rackham application are Dental Hygiene, Endodontics, Periodontics, Prosthodontics, and Restorative Dentistry.

Create an ApplyWeb account and complete the Rackham online application (see Rackham’s Overview of the Application Process for more details).

2.

Submit the following directly to Rackham:

Transcripts Official transcripts from every school at which the applicant has earned or will earn a degree (bachelor’s, master’s, professional, or doctoral) should be submitted to Rackham from the issuing institution. Please see Rackham’s transcript guidelines. For transcripts from non-US institutions that are not in English, see details about English translations.
3 Letters of recommendation Three letters of recommendation are required and should be electronically submitted to Rackham by recommenders of the applicant’s choice. See instructions for registering recommenders. Paper copies of letters are not accepted.
Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) Report For applicants from a dental school outside of the US and Canada, an ECE course-by-course evaluation of all dental coursework should be submitted by direct upload to page 9 of the Rackham application in ApplyWeb. World Education Services (WES) reports are not accepted.
Please note: ECE evaluations are not required for Dental Hygiene applicants.
Attention: Although Rackham states that ECE reports are not accepted, the ECE is required for these specific graduate programs of the School of Dentistry. Please do not mail official ECE reports to the Rackham Graduate School. The only accepted method of submission is direct upload to the application.
