BIOGRAPHY

Joined the Department of Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry as a clinical associate professor on Oct. 1, 2019. Dr. Vergotine received his dental degree (B.Ch.D.) and his Master of Science in Community Dentistry (MSc-Dent) from the University of the Western Cape in Tygerberg, South Africa. He received his Specialty Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from Children's Mercy Hospital, University of Missouri-Kansas City. Dr. Vergotine held positions at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Marquette University where he also was an attending pediatric dentist for Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. Prior to joining U-M, he was a clinical associate professor at Midwestern University, College of Dental Medicine-Illinois. He is a Fellow of both the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and the International Association of Dental Traumatology. He has significant experience in clinical and didactic instruction at the pre-doctoral and graduate student levels.
