BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Stewart was born and raised in Ann Arbor. She attended Hampton University in Virginia, where she received a B.A. in Biology with high honors in 1990. She earned her DDS in 1994 from the University of Michigan and then she joined her father, Dr. Lee Jones, in private practice. In 1996, she began teaching part-time at the University of Michigan Dental School. In 1999, Dr. Stewart began the Graduate Prosthodontics program at the University of Michigan. In 2001 she was the first winner of the Joseph A. Clayton scholarship and in 2002 a Center of the Education of Women scholar. She finished the program and received a certificate in Prosthodontics in 2003. She continues to teach part-time and has acquired her father's Ann Arbor dental practice. In 2006, Dr. Stewart became a member of the American Dental Association Institute for Leadership and Diversity. In 2012, she was one of 100 dentists selected nationwide to receive Evidence-Based Dentistry training from the American Dental Association. She holds memberships in the Wolverine Dental Society, The Washtenaw District Dental Society, The Michigan Dental Association, The National Dental Association and the American Dental Association.
