Dr. Khaled Sinjab is a 3rd year resident at the Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine. He received his dental degree back in 2010 and his passion for periodontics pushed him to join the 1-year post-doctoral program in 2015. He later joined the residency program in 2017 and has dedicated his residency in treating patients as well as dental-related research. He is the proud recipient of the 2018 Delta Dental award, the Rackham Block Grant award, the 2018 IDREF Grant, and the Rackham Graduate Student Research Grant. His research focuses mainly on dental implants and peri-implantitis and he has published many papers on the matter. His master’s thesis project looks into the impact of microbiota around diseased dental implants based on their surface characteristics.
