Dr. Eric Hannapel grew up in the town of Middleville, Michigan; a small town community south of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Dr. Hannapel attended Western Michigan Universtiy for his undergraduate education.  He then enrolled at the University of Michigan and earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1992 and then completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Michigan Medical Center in 1993. He stayed at University of Michigan and completed a Master of Science degree in Orthodontics in 1996. Dr. Hannapel returned to western Michigan and opened his practice in Caledonia, Michigan in 1996. Since then, he volunteers his time at the Devos Children’s Hospital Oral Cleft Program, and treats these patients in his office. His treatment philosophy includes using MBT Straightwire 0.022 slot, Self ligation brackets, and some removable Functional Appliances.  Dr. Hannapel and his wife, Dr. Beth Hannapel have four children, two girls and two boys.
