Dr. Furat M. George received his dental degree from the University of Baghdad – College of Dentistry in 1998. He worked in private practice, in a dental supply company as a marketing director, and in a dental assisting school as a part-time instructor. In 2007, he completed his graduate prosthodontic training at the University of Michigan – School of Dentistry and became a full-time faculty member. Dr. George is currently co-director of the predoctoral implant program and co-director of the removable partial denture course for the second year dental class. He is serving in the School of Dentistry Implant committee and the Materials, Instruments, Forms, and Fees committee. Dr. George is a member of the American College of Prosthodontists, a member of the International Association for Dental Research and the American Association for Dental Research, and a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. His research interests are in the field of dental ceramics and the utilization of CAD/CAM technology in dentistry and research.
