BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Elliott Hill received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Michigan in 1974. In 1978, he was granted a DDS degree from the School of Dentistry at the University of Michigan. He then worked in private practice for nearly 20 years. At this point, he returned to his alma mater to obtain his Master’s Degree in Prosthodontics as well as his PhD in Oral Health Sciences. Dr Hill has been teaching in the BMS department since 2007 and is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor. In addition to lecturing for three courses, he is course director for Dental Implants and presently serves as a research advisor for three students. Dr Hill is also on the admissions committee at the School of Dentistry, serves as a mentor for the Gateway to the Future faculty program, is the director of Student Pathways to Dental Leadership, and serves as faculty advisor for the Jamaica Outreach program. Dr. Hill is a member of the American College of Prosthodontics (ACP), the National Dental Association (NDA), the American Dental Association (ADA), the American Dental Educators Association (ADEA), and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM). In 2018, he was given two special awards from the Dental School – the Ida B Gray Award and the Teacher of the Year award.
