I graduated from the University of Michigan Dental Hygiene Program in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene degree. Focusing on my interest in access to care, during my senior year I wrote an article about a collaborative course between dental hygiene and social work that was published in the American Dental Hygienists’ Association’s Access Magazine. I received the Johnson and Johnson Professional Excellence Award for outstanding clinical expertise, education in health promotion and disease prevention. After graduation I worked full-time as a clinical dental hygienist in a general practice and continue to work in a pediatric office. I am a member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association and the Michigan Dental Hygienists’ Association.
