BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Squarize is a clinician-scientist and Principal Investigator of the Epithelial Biology Lab at the UM. She earned a DDS, followed by a master's degree and Ph.D. in Oral Pathology. She won the prestigious Edward Hatton Award from the International Association for Dental Research for her head and neck cancer research. Prior to joining the U of M School of Dentistry in 2010, she spent five years at the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research in a fellowship studying stem cell biology, epithelial biology, and also oral and pharyngeal cancer. She is currently an Associate Professor with tenure, member of the Michigan Medicine Rogel Cancer Center, Division Leader on the UM SoD Global Initiative, and co-director for the Epithelial Biology Lab at the UM.
