BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Roger Bookwalter was raised in Ohio, and has lived in Michigan for 30 years (California Dreamin'). He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1969. Then he attended the Ohio State University where he received a D.D.S. degree in 1973. Dr. Bookwalter served in the U. S. Navy Dental Corps before attending the University of Michigan where he graduated in 1977 with a Master of Science in Orthodontics. Dr. Bookwalter has served as a clinical examiner for the State of Michigan Orthodontic Specialty License Examination and also is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. In addition, he has instructed in the Charles H. Tweed Foundation, Tucson, Arizona. He has been in private practice in Plymouth, Michigan, since 1977 and began teaching at the University of Michigan orthodontic clinics that same year. Dr. Bookwalter teaches Standard Edgewise and his philosophy includes trying not to hurt patients, and treating patients with respect. He is married, and enjoys golf, sailing, hiking, skiing, and cooking. His interests also include travel, music, and orthodontics.
