Dr. Kane (MS 2012) is a clinical assistant professor in the Division of Prosthodontics in the Department of Biologic and Materials Sciences, is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and has a private practice in Bloomfield Hills, Mich.  In her new role, over the next two years she will organize and lead 80 members of the Michigan Section, which includes prosthodontists, graduate students, predoctoral students, certified dental technicians and academic alliance affiliates for non-prosthodontists who teach in prosthodontics programs more than half-time.

“The section is operated to foster interest in the specialty of prosthodontics, with the objective of improving the quality of treatment of the prosthodontic patient,” Kane said. “We do that through educational activities designed to bring new ideas, techniques and research into clinical practice and to enhance the prosthodontic services received by the public.”  Continuing education courses are planned, as well as networking and social events, in the upcoming year, she said.
