3-D Hologram Helping Researchers Decode Migraine Pain

Ann Arbor, MI — April 22, 2013 — University of Michigan School of Dentistry professor Dr. Alexandre DaSilva is using a 3-D hologram device that may provide insights about what goes on in a person’s brain during a migraine headache and how the brain may make its own chemicals to kill those pains. Earlier this year, DaSilva, who worked with a team from the U-M 3D Lab, unveiled an application that allows persons suffering from migraines to precisely record the location of their pain in real time on an iPhone or iPad.
