Dental Hygiene degree programs provide students with the skills and experience they need to become successful practitioners of their discipline. Outstanding teaching by both dental and dental hygiene experts, hands-on clinical experience, community service-learning and research opportunities ensure that U-M Dental Hygiene students are well-prepared for their careers.
There are three DH degree options:
The undergraduate, entry level program
This program provides the education and training needed to become a dental hygienist. A Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene degree is conferred.
The undergraduate Degree Completion program
Specifically for those licensed dental hygienists in the US or Canada with an associate’s degree or certificate. This program will allow you to complete the remaining 36 credit hours toward a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene degree. Online and on-campus options are available.
The graduate program
Those eligible for this program need to be licensed dental hygienists in the US or Canada and have obtained a bachelor’s degree. This program confers a Master of Science in Dental Hygiene degree. Online and on-campus options are available.
