Students Applying for Continuation in the SRP

The Student Research Program encourages students who have already completed one year in the program to apply for another. Returning students who wish to keep the same mentor should fill out the Returning Student Mentor Interview Form. Returning students who would like a new mentor must complete the Mentor Interview Form as they did when originally applying. Both forms are due in the Office of Research by 12:00 noon on October 10, 2008.

All returning students, regardless of mentor, are required to apply for both the AADR Student Research Fellowship and the SRP. Since the SRP uses the same format as AADR Fellowship proposal, there is minimal extra work involved in the submission. An unsuccessful AADR application will not affect your application for a SRP Fellowship, so there is no penalty for applying.

SRP applications must be turned in to the Office of Research by 12:00 noon on Monday, December 8, 2008 . Applications will be checked for completeness and students will be contacted should any changes or corrections need to be made prior to submitting the AADR application.

AADR Applications are due by 11:59 pm on Monday, January 14, 2009. Please see the Instructions for Completing the AADR Application for more details. Once the application is submitted, make a copy for the Office of Research.

Students who have had an AADR Fellowship in the past are eligible to apply for a second AADR Fellowship.

Do not apply for the AADR fellowship without applying for the SRP. Funding from AADR will not be supplemented by the Student Research Program should this happen.
