Requirements of the Student Research Program
All students must fulfill the following requirements:
- Attend the mandatory Orientation Meeting with your mentor in May.
- Sign and return the SRP Agreement Form.
- Meet with your mentor to plan your research activities during the pre-research period.
- Conduct research full time on site at the School of Dentistry during the research period.
- Attend laboratory/clinic activities and seminars as scheduled by your mentor.
- Participate in the SRP Seminar Series during the research period.
- Submit a Progress Report, signed by you and your mentor, in July 2009.
- Present your findings with a Poster Presentation at Research Day (February 2010).
- Submit a Final Report according to SRP guidelines by March 31, 2010.
- Submit an SRP Evaluation Form by March 31, 2010.
- AADR Awardees: Present at the AADR Annual Meeting in April 2010.
In addition, students are expected to strive to present their results at scientific meetings and make a goal of
co-authoring a publication when research is complete.
