Requirements of the Student Research Program

All students must fulfill the following requirements:
  1. Attend the mandatory Orientation Meeting with your mentor in May.
  2. Sign and return the SRP Agreement Form.
  3. Meet with your mentor to plan your research activities during the pre-research period.
  4. Conduct research full time on site at the School of Dentistry during the research period.
  5. Attend laboratory/clinic activities and seminars as scheduled by your mentor.
  6. Participate in the SRP Seminar Series during the research period.
  7. Submit a Progress Report, signed by you and your mentor, in July 2009.
  8. Present your findings with a Poster Presentation at Research Day (February 2010).
  9. Submit a Final Report according to SRP guidelines by March 31, 2010.
  10. Submit an SRP Evaluation Form by March 31, 2010.
  11. AADR Awardees: Present at the AADR Annual Meeting in April 2010.
In addition, students are expected to strive to present their results at scientific meetings and make a goal of co-authoring a publication when research is complete.
