Final Report Guidelines

A formal research report is due in to the Office of Research by March 31, 2009. The manuscript should be approximately 8 to 12 pages in length, double-spaced, 12 pt. font. The text should include the following:
  1. Title page with title (10 words or less), authors, and institution
  2. Abstract and a list of 5 key words
  3. Introduction (should include a brief review of the literature and research
    objective(s))
  4. Materials and methods (should include references to statistical procedures, if used)
  5. Results
  6. Discussion
  7. Conclusion
  8. Acknowledgments
  9. References (using a standard format which includes: complete author list, title, journal, volume, inclusive page numbers, date)
  10. Tables (each on a separate page)
  11. Figure legends
  12. Figures (each figure on a separate page)
  13. List of publications (abstracts and full papers) and poster presentations that resulted from your SRP project (separate page)
The SRP Evaluation should also be turned in at this time.
