Responsible Conduct in Research and Scholarship
Responsible conduct of research and scholarship is defined as the practice of scientific and scholarly investigation with integrity. It involvesthe awareness and application of established professional norms and ethical principles in the performance of all activities related to scientific research and to scholarship. The NIH and NSF require instruction in responsible conduct of research as an integral part of training for all students and postdoctoral fellows who are supported by research or training grants.
