     Patient Admissions

• To be seen by a student dentist, the first step is to make an appointment in the Patient Admitting and Emergency Services Clinic. PAES clinic faculty will evaluate your dental needs to determine which program can best provide your dental care.  X-rays are usually taken at this time.  After your appointment in the PAES clinic, you will be contacted by a student dentist or specialty graduate student for a second appointment.  
• On your second appointment you will receive a comprehensive oral examination and a treatment plan. In addition, we will provide an estimate of the time required and cost of the recommended treatment.
• Registration forms [link to patient records pg] can be printed and completed prior to your appointment.

     Emergency & Urgent Care Services

• Weekdays 8 am to 5 pm, call 734-763-6933 for emergencies (swelling, severe pain, fever, allergic reaction, continuous bleeding, difficulty breathing or swallowing, tooth knocked loose or serious injury to your mouth or jaw).
• Follow-up appointments to address non-urgent needs may be required.
• If you are a patient currently assigned to a student, please contact your student by calling the Express Messaging voicemail system at 734-763-7680. You will be prompted for your student's four-digit voicemail code.
• There will be fees for the emergency evaluation, x-rays and for procedures needed to relieve pain and stabilize your condition. Payment is expected at the time of service.
