Dr. Eduardo Bresciani, a native of Brazil, received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1997 from the University of São Paulo, Bauru School of Dentistry. His residency in Pediatric Dentistry was completed at the Hospital for Rehabilitation of Craniofacial Anomalies (HRAC) at the University of São Paulo from 1998 to 2000.  He received both his Master's and PhD degrees in Restorative Dentistry at the University of São Paulo, Bauru.  He was a visiting scholar at the University of Michigan during his PhD program, performing research on caries-related bacteria, bacteria starvation and molecular biology. Dr. Bresciani worked in Brazil for nine years in a public dental clinic, providing dental treatment for underprivileged children. In 2008, Dr. Bresciani joined the faculty of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry as a clinical assistant professor in the department of orthodontics and pediatric dentistry. His research interests include minimum intervention in dentistry, clinical research with dental materials and pulp therapy in primary teeth. He is a member of the International Association for Dental research, the Brazilian IADR (SBPqO) and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
