Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor
Dr. Josephine (Jocie) Weeden is from Hillsdale, Michigan. She completed her undergraduate, dental and orthodontic training from the University of Michigan. Dr. Weeden's primary office is located in Adrian, and she has a secondary office in Ann Arbor. She began practicing orthodontics in 1999 and began teaching that same year in the undergraduate orthodontic clinic. Dr. Weeden teaches in the graduate orthodontic clinic every other Wednesday afternoon. Her basic philosophy includes treating each patient individually, "extraction and non-extraction" philosophy depending on treatment goals, and minimal early treatment - she prefers starting treatment in the late mixed dentition if it will not be detrimental. Dr. Weeden's husband is from Australia and they have three children (4th on the way). She enjoys reading and traveling. Dr. Weeden is currently Vice-President and Editor of the Michigan Orthodontic Association
