Wellness and Counseling Psychology Center is an in-house counseling center committed to the emotional wellbeing of students at the School of Dentistry. Through a variety of services, the Center strives to promote emotional resilience and to facilitate a positive learning environment in a multicultural context.
We offer:
- One-on-one meetings with students
- Referrals to community psychotherapists and other resources for longer-term help

Workshops and groups for students with the purpose of:
- Education and skills training promoting emotional wellbeing and resilience
- Emotional support
- Consultations with faculty and staff about students of concern
- Workshops for faculty and staff about topics relevant to students’ wellbeing
Our services are:
- Free

- Short-term and solution-focused
Students come to counseling for:
- Stress and anxiety
- Depression
- Relationship problems
- Academic issues (i.g., test/performance anxiety, trouble concentrating, procrastination)
- Stress related to diversity issues
- Insomnia
- Eating and body image concerns
- LGBTQ concerns
- Trauma
- Grief and loss
- Alcohol/drug abuse and addictions
