The School of Dentistry is committed to excellence in its missions of education, patient care and research.  One contributing component to maintaining excellence is compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, accreditation and UM or School of Dentistry Policy requirements.  If you have questions or concerns about any of these requirements, feel free to contact our Compliance Officer.

Any one of us can become aware of an instance of suspected wrongdoing, and it is important that we act promptly and appropriately when made aware of such suspicions.  It is important for members of our community to act immediately if they suspect abuse or other crimes, or where they find themselves either a victim or a witness to questionable activity.  Our current system for reporting is described below:

• If immediate emergency assistance is needed or a crime is in progress, dial 9-1-1 for emergency response.
• For a non-emergency situation, call the Department of Public Safety at 734-763-1131. 
• Information on potential criminal activity also may be reported anonymously by calling the University's Anonymous Tip Line at 1-800-863-1355.

School of Dentistry community members who believe they have witnessed financial, regulatory, or patient safety wrongdoing in the course of their daily activities at the School, can also report the situation confidentially or anonymously through the University's compliance website or by contacting the Compliance Hotline 1-866-990-0111.
