Dr. Bin Rayes was born and raised in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He graduated from King Saud University (KSU) with a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery (BDS) in 2008. He completed a one-year internship training program at KSU as well as several other hospitals. Dr. Bin Rayes was selected as a teaching assistant at KSU, Department of Prosthetic Dental Sciences, in 2009. He taught full-time in the dental school's undergraduate clinic and pre-clinic as a removable and fixed prosthodontic instructor.
Dr. Bin Rayes believes that a prosthodontist has the responsibility to create foundations with patients that will last a lifetime. To obtain this knowledge and expertise will require a well-structured postgraduate program, which is why he joined the Graduate Prosthodontic Program at the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry. This program will help him achieve his goals and ambitions, to continue his excitement in being a prosthodontist, and enable him to bring complex prosthetic cases to reality. After graduation, Dr. Bin Rayes plans to join a PhD program, which will enable him to be proficient in delivering prosthodontic education to future dental professionals in Saudi Arabia.
