Dr. Ludia Kim grew up in Toronto and California. Dr. Kim completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology from the University of Toronto in 1989. She then enrolled in the DMD program at Harvard School of Dental Medicine, graduating in 1994. She then came to the University of Michigan and completed a Master of Science degree in Orthodontics in 1997. Her private office is located in Ann Arbor. She began practicing orthodontics in 1997 and began teaching at the University of Michigan in 2000 in the undergraduate orthodontic clinic and in 2002 in the graduate orthodontic clinic. Dr. Kim is here on Friday afternoons as an Adjunct Assistant Professor. Her basic treatment philosophy includes using MBT Straightwire 0.022 slot, and for class II correction she uses facebows, some removable functionals and Class II mechanics. Dr. Kim and her husband have two sons, ages 4 and 6 years.
