Dr. Thomas R. Gebeck is originally from Minnesota and now lives in Michigan. He attended the School of Dentistry at the University of Minnesota, receiving his D.D.S. degree in 1964. After serving two years in the United States Navy, Dr. Gebeck completed his M.S. in Orthodontics in 1969 from the University of Michigan. Dr. Gebeck maintains a private practice limited to orthodontics in Grosse Pointe, Michigan and is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the graduate orthodontic clinic on Friday afternoons. He began practicing and teaching Standard Edgewise (directional force philosophy orthodontics) here in 1969. Dr. Gebeck has been a member of the teaching staff of the Charles H. Tweed International Foundation for Orthodontic Research since 1973 and is a past president (1996-1998) of that organization. He has also taught both nationally and internationally in France, Monaco, Italy, Romania, Guatamala, Brazil, Korea, and Japan. He has a family with four children, one of whom is an orthodontist. He enjoys fishing, hunting, boating, and playing with his grandchildren.
