Residents are scheduled to attend several academic courses in conjunction with other graduate level students within the School of Dentistry. A Peridontics course dealing with surgical and nonsurgical management of periodontal patients is taken in the fall semester. Advanced Operative Dentistry #746 is an in-depth course on esthetic dental materials and techniques also taken in the fall term. Oral Pathology #614 is a clinically oriented review of Oral Pathology which is taken in the winter term. Residents are expected to participate in all required assignments and activities of the courses including examinations.
