Completion of this program will prepare residents to:
-

care needs. Residents will be responsible for management of all medical and
dental specialty referrals, development and presentation of multidisciplinary treatment
plans and monitoring of preventive maintenance programs after completion of the
rehabilitative phase of treatment. -
Complete treatment and restoration of oral health in patients with severely
compromised dentitions. Treatment involving such extended factors as orthognathic
surgery, orthodontic therapy, re-establishment of an occlusal plane, periodontal
prosthesis and esthetic reconstruction will be primary areas of focus as cases are available. -
Understand the basis for treatment considerations to a depth that can be used as a base for
teaching clinical general dentistry. -
Organize and conduct a comprehensive literature review and implement a clinical or applied
research project, from protocol development to pre-publication manuscript.
