Kids Walk-In Dental Clinic Mar. 26
Ann Arbor, MI — March 22, 2011 — A group of dental and dental hygiene students and faculty from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry will team up with volunteer dentists and dental hygienists from the community to provide dental care to Washtenaw County children at the Washtenaw Children’s Dental Clinic on Saturday, March 26.
Screenings and cleanings will be provided at the Ann Arbor Open School (the old Mack School) at 707 Brooks Street from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. A child’s most pressing dental need will also be addressed during the visit.
Children must be residents of Washtenaw County, range in age from preschool to 18 years of age, be eligible for the federal hot lunch program, and not covered by dental insurance. A parent or guardian must accompany a child. To help offset the cost of supplies, a $5 donation will be requested.
The non-profit Washtenaw Children’s Dental Clinic has been serving the needs of children from low-income families in Washtenaw County since 1952. For more information, call the Washtenaw Children’s Dental Clinic at (734) 663-7073.
