Procedure for Life Membership

  1. The applicant must be a dues paying member for 20 years or more.

  2. Attain the age of 65 years of age or older.

  3. The completed application must be received by November 1.

Qualifications for Life Membership
  1. Attendance at two regular meetings of the Society as a guest within a two year period, or by the presentation of a table clinic or lecture before The Society.

  2. Attendance at postgraduate or graduate courses equivalent to a minimum of five days (40 hours), is required for membership. The course or courses shall be in the field of Crown and Bridge Prosthodontics or other closely related fields acceptable to the Executive Board. Attendance as a guest at regular meetings of the F. B. Vedder Society does not fulfill the five-day (40-hour) course requirement. Candidates actively teaching Crown and Bridge Prosthodontics at a College of Dentistry shall automatically be considered for membership.

  1. The applicant's sponsor shall obtain an application from the Secretary or Membership Chairman.

  2. The applicant is to return the completed application to his/her sponsor, who will then attach two letters of recommendation from current members and return them to the Membership Chairman.

  3. Applications will be acted on by the Executive Board during their December meeting.

  1. The applicant must ask his/her sponsor to obtain an application from the Secretary or Membership Chairman.

  2. The applicant is to return the completed application to his/her sponsor, who will attach two letters of recommendation from current members and return them to the Membership Chairman. Applications will be acted on at the December Executive Board meeting.

Qualifications for Associate Membership
  1. Members of allied fields or professions and other persons whose work is supportive of Crown and bridge Prosthodontics may apply.

  2. You must have attended two Vedder Society meetings within a four year period and earn 21 hours

  3. Upon the recommendation of the Executive Board, applicants may be elected to Associate Membership status.
