Note: Before ordering computers and computer related products direct from any supplier, verify with your department that you are authorized to place orders and encumber UM funds. If your department requires computer hardware and software purchases to go through a department IT group please contact them for ordering information. All UMH employees please contact your MCIT representative for all computer hardware and software purchases.
Computer Accessories & Peripherals
M-Marketsite has three vendors available for you to purchase from: Computer Hardware
- Apple: Some Apple items are available at the Computer Showcase for Departmental pickup. Standard configurations and Custom Quotes can be created using the link on the University Contract page and then entering an ePro Requisition in Pathway.
- Dell: M-Marketsite offers all of Dell's standard models and allows you to custom configure a system by creating an E-Quote and ordering. For assistance with large volume purchases that may be subject to additional savings or purchases that require a Dell Representative's quote please contact the Technology Procurement Team.
- HP Printers: M-Marketsite offers HP printers from the three Computer Accessories suppliers listed above.
- HP Hardware: Please contact the Technology Procurement Team.
- Lenovo for Thinkpads: M-Marketsite offers Lenovo Thinkpads from two of the Computer Accessories suppliers listed above: CDWG and JEM.
- IBM Servers: Please contact the Technology Procurement Team.
- Microsoft: The University has a contract for all Microsoft products. Departments, students and staff can purchase Microsoft software through the Computer Showcase , a division of ITCS. Departmental licenses are handled via http://www.itd.umich.edu/microsoft/. Microsoft Office 2003 Win, Microsoft Office 2004 Mac, MS Visual Studio 2005 Pro, MS Windows XP Pro and Windows 98 are available for immediate pickup at the Computer Showcase, all other titles may be ordered through the web site above.
- Adobe/Macromedia: Please contact the Technology Procurement Team at computer.procurement@umich.edu.
- Packaged Software: Academically priced software packages are available from the three Computer Accessories suppliers: CDWG, JEM Computer or Office Max.
- Other Software Licenses: Licenses for many additional software titles are available from ITCS. If you cannot find the title you are looking for please contact the Technology Procurement Team at computer.procurement@umich.edu.
