Videoconferencing at the School of Dentistry
Videoconferencing at the School of Dentistry utilizes H.323 over IP.
Step 1. Provide info about your videoconference: Email to: DentistryBender@umich.edu.
- Request date(s) to reserve the videoconferencing unit.
- Include email and phone contact information for whom you will be conferencing with.
- The video conferencing unit can display/send output from a laptop. Indicate if you will need that capability.
- For small groups (1-3 people) and short duration, you may use room 3060 for videoconferencing.
- For groups greater than 3 people, send a message to make a room reservation: dds.rooms@umich.edu.
- Try to schedule G536, G524 or B306 (B306 must be scheduled through Diana Blackford (734) 615-7388).
- Please keep in mind that the unit is heavy and needs to be rolled in on a cart; allow 30 minutes for set up in your room reservation.
- Once you have the unit and room reserved we will coordinate with the technical people on the remote site for, among other things, a test connect.
- You will be updated as that test-connect information is scheduled.
