Dental Informatics Applications Services News
axiUm was upgraded to version 4.02.06 last quarter. This major revision introduced the new Electronic Health Record user interface that enables us to incorporate significant clinical functionality into axiUm. The user interface in the EHR is pretty slick and represents a leap forward for the vendor in making the product more user friendly. The ability to create information views, to include or exclude details, columns, clinics is now available so that any programmer can create them for you or your team.
Most users can now go into Patient Care (the Red Cross, second icon) and to the Summary tab to see a variety of information regarding one patient; or into Personal Planner (the green book, ninth icon) to see information about all of a provider's assigned patients. Searching in the Rolodex works when you press enter rather than forcing users to click a column header. There are over 100 enhancements to this version.
Recalls are being implemented in stages over the next few months. Referrals will being pilot tests too (the technical parts are easy, getting buy-in about how it works is a bit more challenging.) Patient Attachments is fully functional now just awaiting more uses by clinics. Ortho has begun implementing steps to take axiUm chairside. Pathology just began usage of axiUm data and electronic data transmissions outside the school.
A new Health History form is being completed and will become available on axiUm. Medical Alerts are being revisited and will be standards in axiUm. Perio Charting has been configured and will be usable in axiUm. Lab Tracking, Grading and Evaluation, Patient Exposure tracking, and more reports are all in the works too.
We also completed one grant project and continue with four others. Dental Stores warehousing system was also successfully migrated last month.
