Dell Battery Recall 2006
Dell is conducting a recall on a very large number of laptop batteries sold between April 2004 and
July 18, 2006. A few have been known to overheat, which might result in a fire.
This may be one of the largest consumer electronics recalls in history.

to identify if your laptop battery needs
to be replaced. That Web site also gives instructions how to get a replacement.
DON'T FORGET to check your spare batteries as well!
Because batteries are usually not made by computer manufacturers, other manufacturers also have battery
