Employee Relations
The School's HR Director partners with University HR and Academic HR to ensure faculty and staff relation issues are handled appropriately and timely in compliance with U-M policy and collective bargaining agreements. The following services are provided under Employee Relations:
- Consultation on progressive discipline
- Guidance on staff grievances for non-union and bargained-for-staff
- Administration and interpretation of collective bargaining contracts: AFSCME, House Officers, and LEO
- Consultation on performance improvement plans
- Mediation and conflict resolution
- Coach managers and staff to minimize conflict and advise on difficult conversations
