Compliance
The HR Director provides guidance to management, staff and faculty regarding University and School policies and compliance relevant to personnel matters, including policy interpretation. In collaboration with University HR, the Director leads and assures organization-wide compliance with governmental, labor and legal reporting requirements related to Effort Certification - A21, Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action (AAO/EEO); the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA),and the Department of Labor.
The University Standard Practice Guide contains University-wide policies for conducting business. Some of the School's policies can be accessed through its intranet under miTools. Frequently accessed policies and websites include the following:
