Patient Information
Orthodontics
The University of Michigan School of Dentistry provides orthodontic care of all levels. Particularly simple care may be provided at cost effective prices by dental students under the care and supervision of our faculty. Full orthodontic treatment for all ages is available in both our Graduate Orthodontic Practice and our Orthodontic Faculty Practice.
I. New PatientsUndergraduate and Graduate Student New Patients:
New patients are welcome throughout the year. For a new patient evaluation please call 734-647-8824. New patient exams are performed Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings. Your first appointment will be a screening appointment to determine your orthodontic needs. At the conclusion of that appointment, you will be assigned to the most appropriate clinic for your care based upon your individual needs. Occasionally throughout the year, patients will be placed on a waiting list because they are not quite ready for treatment. If your child is placed on the waiting list, you will be informed of the procedures you should follow. Once you begin treatment, you or your child will be seen for treatment on the afternoon that works best for your schedule.
Orthodontic Faculty Practice New Patients:
New patients to the faculty practice are accepted on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings. For a new patient examination by a member of our Orthodontic Faculty Practice, please call 734-615-8899. Patient care is provided during morning clinic sessions. Dr. Arruda, Dr. Conley, and Dr. Hatch look forward to meeting you and helping you with your orthodontic needs.
