Dr. Nan E. Hatch

Dr. Nan Hatch is originally from New England (Massachusetts). She earned her D.M.D. from Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 1999. She received her orthodontic certificate in 2003 and PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology in 2005, both from University of Washington in Seattle. Dr. Hatch began orthodontic practice in 2003 and came to the University of Michigan in 2005. Dr. Hatch is in a full time faculty, research track position. She is currently doing research in bone biology and craniofacial anomalies with Dr. Renny Franceschi in the Center for Craniofacial Regeneration. Her office is in room 5213 in the research tower. Her practice philosophy includes using straightwire appliances with head gear or twin block for growth modification. Dr. Hatch also has experience with interdisciplinary adult treatment. Her treatment planning decisions are guided by both the dentition and facial esthetics.
