Provider Consultation Procedures
The Hospital Dentistry clinic is happy to provide Outpatient Consultation and dental care for those patients who need dental care in a hospital setting. Please call our front desk at 734 936 5950 for information about scheduling and faxing a consultation. The following information is provided to assist in making a referral:- Referral by a physician does not mean coverage of dental services by medical insurance. Medicare coverage, for example, does not include dentures, fillings, etc.
- Replacement of teeth by bridges or dentures, etc., requires mutliple appointments over a period of time. If your patient lives far away, please advise them of this and consider care with a dentist in private practice closer to their home.
- Please refer medically stable (ASA I or II) patients to the School of Dentistry.
- Referring physicians with additional questions should contact a Dentistry attending by visiting the paging website.
