Zeina Ahmed-Zeki
Dr. Ahmed-Zeki was born and raised in Baghdad, the capital city of IRAQ. She graduated from the school of dentistry, Baghdad University, in 1996 and then completed two years as a dental rotator and a general practitioner in the suburban’s public dental clinics of the Ministry of Health. After receiving her MSc in prosthodontics in 2001, she worked as a full-time lecturer at the School of Dentistry, University of Baghdad. She received a scholarship to join a graduate program in Prosthodontics in 2005. She is excited and very proud to join the graduate prosthodontics program at the University of Michigan.
Andreas Eliades
Dr. Eliades was born and raised in Limassol, Cyprus. From 2000-02 he served his two-year military service as an Officer of the Special Forces in Cyprus. He received his DDS degree in 2007 from the University of Athens, School of Dentistry, in Greece. He then practiced dentistry for one year in a private clinic in Cyprus. Dr. Eliades has always been determined to pursue a career in Prosthodontics and is very proud of his acceptance into the Prosthodontics Graduate Program at the University of Michigan. He looks forward for this new challenge in his life and is confident that the University of Michigan will provide him a strong background for the demanding profession of Prosthodontics.
Sobia Qureshi
Dr. Qureshi was born in Karachi, Pakistan. She graduated from the school of dentistry, Baquai University, in 1999 and then relocated to the United States. Dr. Qureshi completed her fellowship in Radiology from the University of Detroit Mercy in 2008 and did some research with the Michigan Centre of Oral Health and Research in 2007. She is very proud to shadow and do valuable clinical discussions with Dr. John Knapp in his private prosthodontic practice. Dr. Qureshi is also doing some rotations in ENT at the university hospital to learn how she can work in the team practice. At this time she is extremely proud to join the graduate prosthodontic program at the University of Michigan.
Alice Chang(VA)
Dr. Alice Chang grew up in Pennsylvania. She graduated from University of California, Berkeley in 1999 receiving her B.A. in Molecular Cell and Biology with emphasis on Cell and Development. Prior to attending dental school, Dr. Chang participated in research at UCSF on vesicular transport of glucose receptors. Dr. Chang graduated from University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry in 2005. She completed a year of AEGD Residency at the UCLA Wilson-Jennings-Bloomfield Venice Dental Center from 2005-2006 where she provided dentistry to the underserved parts of the community. From 2006-2008, Dr. Chang worked as an associate in private practice in San Diego, California. She currently splits her time as a prosthodontic resident between Univ. of Michigan and the VA Hospital in Detroit. Dr. Chang is very excited to join the Prosthodontic program at the VA and Univ. of Michigan.
Siam Zokaie(VA)
Dr. Siam Zokaie grew up in San Diego, California. He graduated with honors from San Diego State University with a B.S. in Biology. He went on to attend Dental School at the University of California, San Francisco and graduated with a D.D.S. in 2005. He went on to complete a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at the University of the Pacific clinic in Union City California. Dr. Zokaie returned to his hometown in San Diego and practiced as an associate for two years before deciding to specialize in Prosthodontics at the John D. Dingell VA in Detroit. He is excited and feels privileged to further his education both at the VA and at University of Michigan school of dentistry.

Ibrahim Al-Munif
Dr. Al-Munif was born and raised in Saudi Arabia. He received his undergraduate degree in biology from Virginia Commonwealth University, and then he proceeded with his dental education at the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry. He graduated in 2003, and moved back to Saudi Arabia. He completed a 12-months internship (GPR) at King Faisal University (Hospital), followed by working as a general practitioner at King Fahd Military Medical Complex in Saudi Arabia. Dr. Al-Munif’s wife, Wala, is a student at Eastern Michigan University. They both live in Ann Arbor along with their beautiful three year old daughter, Manar.
Emily Carter
Dr. Carter was born and raised in Rochester Hills, Michigan. She graduated from Saint Louis University in 2003 with a B.S. in Exercise Science. She then went on to attend dental school at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. There she developed an affinity and fondness for prosthodontics. After receiving her DDS degree in 2007, she was accepted into the graduate prosthodontics program at the University of Michigan. She is thrilled about being back in Michigan with her family nearby. She is especially thankful for her supportive husband, Justin, who is a practicing real estate attorney.
Anfal M. Mandekar
She Mandekar was born and raised in Kuwait, a beautiful country on the coast of the Arabian Gulf. She has a great family that supports her and gives her the opportunity to explore and make decisions. After completion of high school she received a scholarship from the ministry of higher education to do dentistry in Ireland. In 2004 she graduated and earned my bachelor of dental science with honors from Trinity College in Dublin. She returned to Kuwait and practiced as a general practitioner in the ministry of health for three years before she received another scholarship to join a graduate program in Prosthodontics.Dr. Mandekar is proud to be part of the University of Michigan, in particular the graduate prosthodontics program.
Penny Spyropoulou
Dr. Spyropoulou was born and raised in Athens, which is the capital of
Greece. She graduated from the University of Athens, School of
Dentistry in 2006 and worked for one year as a General Dentist in a
private clinic in Greece. From the first years of her studies Peny
realized that she would like to pursue a career in Prosthodontics, and that she also wanted to do her specialty training in the USA. Dr. Spyropoulou feels very lucky that she was accepted into the Prosthodontic Graduate Program at the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry and is looking forward to experiencing a new life in Michigan.
Yi-Ming Ben Yang

Dr. Yang was born and raised in Taiwan, and received his DDS degree from National Taiwan University, School of Dentistry in 2005. After graduation Dr. Yang served as a Military Dental Officer in the F-16 Air Force Base for one year. Dr. Yang continued to have a private dental practice in Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company for another six months before coming to the Graduate Program in Prosthodontics at the University of Michigan. He is proud to have supportive parents and mentors, who give him invaluable encouragement and motivation for pursuing a specialty in Prosthodontics. Dr. Yang is very excited to start a new life in Ann Arbor, and hopes to broaden his vision by learning the Prosthodontic discipline from this great school.
Dr. Almusa currently splits her time as a prosthodontic resident between the Univ. of Michigan and the VA Hospital in Detroit. Dr. Almusa grew up in Okemos, MI. She attended Michigan State University for my
undergraduate studies. Upon completion of school at MSU, she moved to
Milwaukee, WI where I attended Marquette University for dental school.
Dr. Almusa graduated in 2002 and then completed a one year general practice
residency at the VA Hospital in Milwaukee. From 2003-2007 she worked in
a group practice doing general dentistry. In 2007 she moved back to
Michigan to train in Prosthodontics.
Mauricio MoellerDr. Moeller earned his DDS degree from the University of San Andres in La Paz, Bolivia in 1997. After graduation he worked in a private family practice for two years. Dr. Moeller was also involved as a part time instructor at the University del Valle. In 2000 he came to the United States to complete the Postgraduate Program in Prosthodontics. Mauricio is married to Raphaela and they have two sons. Future plans include completing the Graduate Program in Prosthodontics and increased emphasis on teaching at the dental school.
Yi-Hua (Eva) Niu Dr. Niu was born and received most of her education in Taiwan. She received her DDS degree from Taipei Medical University, College of Oral Medicine in 2002. After graduation, she spent one year in Mackey Memorial Hospital for GPR training and decided to choose prosthodontics as her life-long specialty. After that, she worked part-time in a preclinical lab of fixed prosthodontics at her dental school, and worked full-time in a private clinic for three years. She is proud to have the most supportive parents, dearest sister and friends. She especially thanks her mentors at the dental school and her boss at the private clinic for their guidance and instructions, which helped her gain interest in prosthodontics. She is excited to join the graduate prosthodontics program at the University of Michigan.
Jennifer
SuhDr. Suh was born in Seoul, South Korea and her family moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1988. She completed her undergraduate training at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. After graduation, she worked in private practice for two years and decided to pursue further training in dentistry at the Medical College of Georgia. There, her interest in Periodontics and Prosthodontics emerged and her decision to specialize in Prosthodontics solidified. She is ecstatic to start a new chapter in her life in Ann Arbor and she feels very fortunate to be surrounded by knowledgeable, amiable, and supportive professors and colleagues.
Paul
Aubrey (VA)Dr. Aubrey currently splits his time as a prosthodontic resident between the Univ. of Michigan and the VA Hospital in Detroit. He received his BA from the University of Iowa in 1982 and his DDS degree from The University of Iowa in 1987. He worked as a general dentist both as an associate and as a solo practicioner. Dr. Aubrey was a staff dentist at the VA Hospital in Battle Creek, MI from 2001 to 2004. Most recently he was a civilian staff dentist at Fort Leonard Wood Army Post in Missouri.
