General Practice Residency
|
The General Practice Residency is a one-year training program in Hospital Dentistry for eligible graduates of US or Canadian dental schools. Residents gain significant experience in medical risk assessment and providing oral care for people with medically compromising conditions and disabilities. Residents provide emergency services and gain significant experience in the management of dental emergencies. Off-service rotations to anesthesia, oral and maxillofacial surgery, and emergency medicine provide additional skills to allow the resident to interact effectively with health care colleagues in a hospital setting.
