Academic Affairs
The Office of Academic Affairs, under the leadership of Dr. Carol Anne Murdoch-Kinch, provides a broad range of services. The mission of Academic Affairs is to develop and enhance the academic structure and educational experience for students, faculty and staff at the School of Dentistry. Academic Affairs is responsible for dental student admissions, financial aid, orientation, graduation and other student activities and events, academic records, and student registration. A major function is providing personal, academic, financial, and career counseling to students. The career development program assists students in their career exploration and selection. The Associate Dean directs the curriculum for the DDS degree and the curriculum evaluation program. The Associate Dean also chairs the Curriculum Committee and serves ex-officio on the Multicultural Affairs Committee and Academic Review Boards I and II.

Admission to the School of Dentistry is based upon evidence of academic training, intellectual capacity adequate to the pursuit of a profession, and other qualifications which indicate that the student is fitted for the study and practice of dentistry.
