Welcome.

I am Dr. Stephen Bayne, Chair of the Department.  Dr. Mark Fitzgerald is Associate Chair of the Department.  CRSE is one of 5 departments in the School of Dentistry and the one with the largest responsibility for DDS training.  The Department is composed of a wide range of specialty and research foci.  Our dental teaching activities include cariology, general dentistry, endodontics, dental public health, geriatric and special care dentistry, and applied biomaterials.
 
Graduate activities include Master's Degree programs in Restorative Dentistry and in Endodontics, as well as advanced training in general dentistry (AEGD).  Our research activities include educational research, virtual dentistry research, clinical research, molecular biology, cancer biology, diabetes research, health disparities research, hard tissue research, pulpal biology, and novel biomaterials. 

At the moment, there are 25 full-time faculty and 71 adjunct faculty members.  With all of our office staff, clinic staff, and research individuals, we are a family of ~180 total individuals.
