Regional Board Exams

For your convenience, we have listed here several of the regional board exams required throughout the country.  For the most accurate information about what is necessary for licensure, we recommend you contact the Dental Licensing Board of the state in which you plan to practice. Northeast Regional Board Exam (NERB)
States participating in the NERB include: Connecticut, Washington D.C., Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusets, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and West Viriginia.


Central Dental Regional Testing Service (CRDTS)
The members of CRDTS are the State Boards of: Colorado,  Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Carolina, South Dakota, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.


Western Regional Examining Board (WREB)
List of states accepting WREB results: Alaska, Arizona, California, Idaho, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington, Wyoming


Southern Regional Testing Exam (SRTA)
SRTA member states include: Arkansas, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. The SRTA is currently recognized by 30 states. For a map of those states, please click here. 


Independant Testing Agencies
States which utilize their own testing agencies include: Alabama, California, Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, Indiana, Louisiana, Mississsippi, North Carolina, Nevada, and the Virgin Islands.
