The Office of Academic Affairs, under the leadership of Marilyn S. Lantz, DMD, PhD, MSD, professor and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, provides a broad range of services. The mission of Academic Affairs is to develop and enhance the academic structure and educational experience for students and faculty at the School of Dentistry. Dr. Lantz serves as Chair for the Curriculum Committee. The Committee’s function is to provide direction and evaluation of the DDS curriculum. In addition to curriculum, Academic Affairs is responsible for the school’s accreditation and the Standardized Patient Instructor program.

 

Located within the Office of Academic Affairs is the Office of Student Services. Professor and Assistant Dean for Student Services Marilyn W. Woolfolk, DDS, MPH, provides management and direction for the wide variety of student-oriented services offered. Recruitment, admissions, financial aid, academic records, and commencement are major functions of this area.
