The Student Research Program (SRP) provides in–depth research experience for DDS and Dental Hygiene students. Students compete for funded fellowships from: the Tissue Engineering and Regeneration Training Grant, (T32, NIDCR, NIH, DE007057), the American Association for Dental Research, and the Dean’s Office to pursue a research project from proposal stage to data analysis and presentation, under the guidance of a faculty mentor. Twenty excellent proposals have been funded this year. Results will be presented at the annual School of Dentistry Research Day in February 2009.
