Dr. Philip Warren is originally from upper New York, grew up in Detroit and Grosse Pointe, and has now lived in Ann Arbor for over 30 years. He completed his dental and orthodontic training at the University of Michigan. His private orthodontic office is now in Brighton, Michigan, but he has also practiced in Plymouth, Michigan and Bogota, Colombia (1996-98). He began practicing orthodontics in 1968 and teaching at the University of Michigan that same year in the undergraduate orthodontic clinic. In 1974 he started teaching in the graduate orthodontic clinic. Dr. Warren teaches Tweed or zero-based appliances with functional treatment as needed on Tuesday afternooons. He also teaches at the Charles Tweed Foundation in Tucson, AZ every two to three years. Dr. Warren also taught in Bogota, Colombia with his wife (Dr. Maria Pinzon) from 1996-1998. They live in Ann Arbor, where Dr. Pinzon practices, with their two boys: Ricky (15), Paulo (8) and their dog, Onyx. Dr. Warren's hobbies include skiing, photography, fly fishing, teaching and helping people learn orthodontics. He also speaks some Spanish.
