Dr. Gary Stern is a Michigan native and has lived in the metropolitan Detroit area his entire life. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Wayne State University in 1964. Dr. Stern earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Detroit in 1968, and in 1972, Dr. Stern was awarded a Master of Science degree in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Michigan. He served with the United States Army Dental Corp. from 1968–1970. Dr. Stern served as clinical instructor at the University of Detroit School of Dentistry. He is currently on staff at Children’s Hospital of Michigan and serves there as a clinical instructor. He is a clinical instructor at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, in the Pediatric Dentistry department.
Dr. Stern is the past president of the Michigan Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the K.A. Easlick Pediatric Dentist Society. He is a member of the Michigan Dental Association, American Dental Association, Michigan Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the K.A. Easlick Pediatric Dentist Society.
Dr. Stern has a private pediatric dental practice in Livonia, MI. He is married and has four wonderful children and two granddaughters. Dr. Stern enjoys driving his vintage Corvette and spending time with his family.
