International Travel - Pre-departure for Faculty and Staff

Warning Destinations, Restriction Destinations, Working Internationally

The University respects the academic freedom of faculty to pursue their scholarly endeavors through international travel. As such, this policy is designed to support the international engagement of its students, faculty, and staff in a responsible manner.

University Travel Warning Destinations

All faculty and staff traveling to a University Travel Warning Destination must:

  • Register their international travel in the Travel Registry
  • Sign in for University-approved travel abroad health insurance (after completing the Travel Registry, travelers will be directed to their appropriate insurance page).

University Travel Restriction Destinations

All faculty and staff wishing to travel for education-related purposes to a University Travel Restrictions Destination for urgent and compelling reasons are expected to:
