John C. Drach, Ph.D., is a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Biologic and Materials Sciences at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He is also a Professor Emeritus of Medicinal Chemistry in the College of Pharmacy. Dr. Drach earned his Ph.D. in the Department of Biochemistry, University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 1966. He has been involved in antiviral drug research since 1969 when he was a Research Scientist at Parke-Davis and Company. His current research interests are the design, discovery, metabolism, and mode of action of antiviral agents.
